Pflugerville Vision Care is a full service optometric practice that is owned and operated by Drs. Steven and Tari Thomas. We opened for business in 1997 in response to the overwhelming demand for eye care services in the area and moved to our current location in 2002. We have a deep commitment to patient service and a strong belief in giving back to the community. Our goal is to take care of the visual needs of our community in a friendly and caring atmosphere.
Dr. Steve Thomas is a 1990 graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry. He has been practicing in the area since 1990 and resides in Pflugerville. Dr. Thomas has extensive experience in fitting contact lens patients and provides consultations and post-op care for lasik surgery. In his spare time he enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife Tari and their two sons.

Dr. Amie Bethel is a 1995 graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry. She has been with the practice since 1998. She specializes in contact lenses, general optometry and provides pre-op and post-op LASIK surgery care. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, gardening, cycling, running and baking.

Dr. Rob Riegler graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He attained a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1991. Dr. Riegler has 20 years of experience in primary vision care. In his spare time he enjoys fitness training and golf.

Jesenia - Front Office
Jesenia joined the practice in May of 2008. She is fluent in Spanish. She schedules appointments and helps coordinate the daily tasks. Jesenia can adjust glasses, dispense contact lenses and perform preliminary work-ups for the doctors. She spends her spare time taking jujitsu classes and spending time with her family.

Amy – Front Office
Amy has been with Pflugerville Vision Care since March of 2006. She does preliminary work-ups for the doctors. Amy also orders contact lenses, adjusts glasses, and dispenses contact lenses. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and children.

Trinidad - Front Office
Trinidad joined the practice in July of 2008. She places contact lens orders and schedules patients for follow-up visits, if necessary. She can also adjust glasses, dispense contact lenses, and perform preliminary work-ups. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and children.

Sy – Front Office
Sy has been with Pflugerville Vision Care since March of 2011. He does preliminary work-ups for the doctors. He is also trained in scheduling appointments. We see a bright future in optical for Sy.

Marixa has been with the practice since August of 2000. She has over 10 years of experience in the eye care industry. She can answer any questions you may have concerning the office. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughter and family.

Deborah – Optical Manager
Deborah has been with Pflugerville Vision Care since April of 1998. You will find her to be very knowledgeable in every aspect of frame styling. She keeps up with the latest lens options by attending classes and workshops. Outside of the office, she participates in Triathlons, 10K runs and 5K runs. Deborah is a master gardener and also enjoys camping and spending time with her husband.

Mike has been with Pflugerville Vision Care since May 2011. He is the newest addition to join our team. He has over 2 years of optical experience. He is very knowledgeable in the latest frame styles and lens options available. If you need an adjustment on your glasses, Mike is the one to see.

Enrique has been with Pflugerville Vision Care since August of 2010. He is responsible for edging, mounting and verifying prescription lenses. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and children.

Janice - Insurance Coordinator
Janice has been with Pflugerville Vision Care since February of 1997. She processes insurance claims for the office. She also handles patient billing and insurance credentialing. Janice keeps the staff up to date with any upcoming changes to insurance plans. In her spare time she enjoys church activities and spending time with her family.
